Cheap & Cheerful: The Regal Beagle

We have a new series here at Brunchcouver, it’s called Cheap and Cheerful.

The idea is to highlight breakfast and brunch in Vancity for under $10. Where can you get it? Whose is worthy and whose is just a greasy hangover cure? We are setting out to answer all the questions.

Our first stop? The Regal Beagle in Kits.

The Regal Beagle is really a pub, and given its proximity to the B-Line, frequented by university students. The beer flows freely, the music is loud, but they have a great breakfast for under $10 that includes coffee.

For just $6, you get “The Beagle Breakfast,” two eggs done how you like them, bacon, potatoes and toast. And coffee! You can add on avocado if you like for a bit extra.

As a bonus, double Caesars are $6.75, if you require the hair of the dog.

Service is friendly and coffee pours are often. The potatoes are great. This is, quite honestly, one of my favorite cheap breakfasts in the city, one I like to indluge in prior to hitting the Kits Farmer’s Market in the summer, which is just a couple blocks away.
